Capitol Home Inspection’s founder and chief home inspector Jim McDaniel has been inspecting residential properties since 2007 and has over 2,000 inspections under his belt. He grew up in a family filled with home builders and construction professionals, and this, combined with his love for the real estate industry and his dedication to teaching people about residential buildings inspired him to become a home inspector. Jim has a great desire to help his clients understand the condition of their properties and potential homes, and he finds a deep satisfaction in working with people and satisfying his clients’ needs. His greatest rewards come from providing the best quality service possible.

Jim has many years of experience in industries in which customer service was key, which has given him the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with anyone and everyone, and he will be sure to paint a thorough and accurate picture of all of his findings both in his inspection reports and in his communications with his clients. All of his inspections are performed in accordance with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Standards of Practice, but Jim prides himself on providing inspection services that are above and beyond the basic standards provided by the state.

When he is not inspecting homes, you can find Jim fishing, working out, spending time on the Texas coast, or rooting on his children at their sporting events.
